As an aspiring Romance author, I'm learning my life will never be my own again. It's not unlike having children, only now the children live in my head and at times talk non-stop until I take the time to write down what they have to say.
Would I change anything? Not on your life.
Recently I was asked why I write romance, my answer. Why not! I love the happy ever after endings, after all isn’t that what we all want in life. Our own happy ever after.
If you were to tell any of my English teachers that I'm writing novels and love reading, they would no doubt double over with laughter. English was not one of my strong subjects.
On the other hand, history, I loved. I still do, which would explain why I enjoy writing and reading historical romance. I love researching topics, from the royal family to the peasants in the streets of London. But, what I love researching the most is Australian history.
My writing takes me on adventures through Medieval England, Tudor, Elizabethan, Georgian, Regency, Victorian and Edwardian Eras. My main focus is Regency for now, but with my love of history I'm sure I will expand into the other eras in the not too distant future.
